| Our
member participation is voluntary, however, once a qualified
participant intends to deliver program fish, compliance with
all of the program's practices is mandatory. Some or all the
fish from an opening may be put into the program. Each participant
decides when and how much product to submit. All products must
meet both the program's quality and handling standards in order
to qualify. |
In
order for a seafood product to carry the Star of Kodiak logo,
all levels of participants from the fishermen to the final
processing must be certified into the program. A Certified
Seafood Inspector will be available to answer questions about
techniques for meeting program handling practices. Meetings
to distribute various materials on marketing updates or program
changes will be announced to all participats. Each Certified
Participant will receive a program identification card to
demonstrate to buyers that they are qualified to deliver program
fish.
