Table-tent Promotion for the Colorodo Tourism Conference

Our latest event was the Governor's 2006 Colorado Tourism Conference in Keystone Colorodo where our promotional video premiered. See the slideshow above for photos of the event.

Star of Kodiak provided 500 salmon fillets from Kodiak's Wild Source processor for the event, and teamed with Colorado's Wild River Grilling Company, which makes cedar grilling planks.

Taste of Kodiak Seafood Cook-off

This cook-off competition sends the two winning chefs to New York to represent Kodiak during the Taste of Alaska reception at the Alaska Media Road Show. The 2006 winners were Chef Joel Chenet of Mill Bay Coffee & Pastries, and Chef Rick Cortez (for Chef Rick Manning) of the Best Western Kodiak Inn.

Great Alaskan Seafood Cookoff



Five accomplished Alaska chefs competed in the Great Alaska Seafood Cook-Off for an opportunity to represent Alaska in a national competition. The dishes created by the Alaska chefs were judged by team of celebrity chefs in Anchorage June 15, 2006.

First Salmon of the Season


Joel Chenet and Dave Kaplan spearheaded this new Annual celebration in June of 2006. Following an afternoon of fishing, the fresh-caught salmon was featured in a five course feast at the Eagle's Landing restaurant inside the Comfort Inn Kodiak.
